A Data Visualization Platform for Everyone, Tractorscope helps dev teams quickly build powerful, customer-facing and internal dashboards right into your apps—without the hassle.
I'm thrilled to share something I've been working on for quite a while: Tractorscope. It's a data visualization platform where you can connect to databases, build dashboards, and embed them in just about any webpage or product. With Tractorscope, you can monitor KPIs, track performance metrics, and share those insights effortlessly. Working alongside Dickon Kent and Tim Mickey, I aimed to make analytics faster, more intuitive, and accessible to everyone.
The problem many businesses face is turning raw data into actionable insights. Traditional reporting tools can be time-consuming, complex, or limited in functionality. Tractorscope was created to make it simpler for enterprises—and their own customers—to plug into MySQL or PostgreSQL, slice and dice data as needed, and embed real-time dashboards where they matter most.
One of the features I'm most proud of is our AI-driven SQL assistance. Instead of having to recall table names, column structures, or write out complex JOIN statements by hand, you can simply use inline chat to describe what you're looking for. Our intelligent assistant then generates the SQL queries on your behalf.
Imagine being able to type something like:
"Show me the top 10 customers by monthly revenue since last quarter."
...and Tractorscope automatically produces the SQL query, runs it, and displays a bar chart you can immediately add to any dashboard. This feature significantly speeds up analysis, especially for team members who may not be fluent in SQL.
Tractorscope's embedding options are another killer feature designed for flexibility and ease. Whether you want to include a set of dashboards on your customer-facing portal, provide real-time KPIs in your internal wiki, or integrate charts into a broader SaaS product, our embed code works with minimal setup. You can style and brand dashboards to match your application seamlessly, freeing up analysts and engineers to focus on more complex tasks.
