Mandatory HTTPS/SSL encryption is happening soon, Chrome and others are wanting all websites to support HTTPS. Page rank is even being subjected to a website being able to handle secure connections.

While, this just does not seem to be completely required when it comes to simple blogs or simple websites for small businesses. Its going to happen one way or another.

LetsEncrypt.org was created by Mozilla and other organizations to make the process of creating and deploying signed certificates an easy one.

Whoa, its also free to get your very own certificate! Before, getting signed certificates meant using a service like Godaddy or RapidSSL to secure your websites.

I must say, I was presently surprised using Lets Encrypt to get my signed certificate for joedesigns.com. It was straight forward and painless to get installed.
